Terms for using the CranSEO API
These are the ground rules for the account, the keys and the data. They are short on purpose, and where something is not stated here, the account page shows the current detail.

What the service is
CranSEO is a REST API and a free explorer for backlink data. Data comes from our own crawler and our own link index, refreshed roughly monthly.
We provide it as it is. A link that appeared last week may be missing, and the DR figure is our own metric, not Ahrefs DR or Moz DA. Do not present it as either.
Your account and keys
You sign in with Google. You are responsible for what is done with your keys.
Treat a key like a password: do not publish it, do not share it with people who should not spend your balance, and replace it if it leaks. Calls made with your key are billed to your account, whoever made them.
Credit and billing
Billing is prepaid. One credit is $0.0001, each call is billed once whatever the number of rows, and when credit runs out the API answers HTTP 402.
Top-ups are in USDT (TRC-20) from the account page. The new-user credit is offered at sign-up and may change for future users; the figure on the sign-up button is the one that applies.
Using the data
Data is a snapshot. Treat it that way.
Short rule. You may use the responses in your own reports, dashboards and analyses. Say where numbers came from when you publish them, and describe DR as our own metric. Please do not present counts from the index as a guarantee about rankings, traffic or anything Google will do.
If a figure looks wrong, compare it with the dated snapshot you stored and tell us through the account page. Because the index refreshes about monthly, many apparent errors are simply a link that has not been crawled yet.
Resale is different. Do not repackage the raw responses as a competing data product without asking us first through the account page.
Fair use and changes
Do not use the service to attack, overload or resell access to it in a way that harms others.
We may change features, prices or these terms as the product evolves. Short notes. We will update the date on this page when we do, and continued use after a change means you accept it, so check back sometimes. For anything unclear, ask through the account page.
