Webmaster Tools Integration in CranSEO #

Connecting your website to various webmaster tools helps monitor performance, indexation, and SEO issues. CranSEO makes it easy to verify your site with Google, Bing, and other search engines.

Step 1: Access Webmaster Tools Settings #

1. Log in to your WordPress dashboard.
2. Navigate to CranSEO > Settings > Webmaster Tools.

Step 2: Verify Your Site with Search Engines #

Each search engine provides a unique verification code that you need to enter in CranSEO.

Google Search Console #

1. Visit Google Search Console.
2. Click Add Property and enter your website URL.
3. Select HTML Tag as the verification method.
4. Copy the meta tag provided (it looks like <meta name="google-site-verification" content="your-code-here">).
5. In your WordPress dashboard, paste this code into the Google Search Console field in CranSEO.
6. Click Save Changes.
7. Return to Google Search Console and click Verify.

Bing Webmaster Tools #

1. Go to Bing Webmaster Tools.
2. Click Add Site and enter your website URL.
3. Select HTML Meta Tag as the verification method.
4. Copy the provided meta tag and paste it into the Bing Webmaster Tools field in CranSEO.
5. Click Save Changes, then verify on Bing.

Other Webmaster Tools #

• CranSEO also supports verification for Yandex, Baidu, and other search engines.
• Follow similar steps to copy and paste the provided meta tag into the respective field.

Step 3: Submit Your Sitemap #

1. Once verified, go to CranSEO > Sitemap.
2. Copy your sitemap URL (e.g., https://example.com/sitemap.xml).
3. Submit it in your webmaster tool dashboard (Google Search Console, Bing, etc.).

Step 4: Monitor Your Site’s Performance #

• Regularly check your webmaster tools for indexing issues, search performance, and SEO suggestions.
• Fix any errors or warnings reported.
